About Shelley

I’m a writer and content strategist who loves to promote well-being and experiential travel.

I’m a wellness enthusiast and travel expert, with a background in luxury travel and health and wellness. I work with hotels, brands, and product companies to help them tell their story and attract their ideal customers. I work with diverse brands who are passionate about making their customer’s experience the best it can be, whether it’s a great hotel room, yoga retreat, travel product, or the clothes they wear on their journey!

How did I get to this place?

Prior to creating my content strategy business, I started out with media companies (iVillage, Oxygen, and Working Woman) developing content focused on executive women and workplace issues. Led by my own interests in work/life balance and stress management, I became the Online Editor then Director of Web Development of Spa Finder.com. At The Leading Hotels of the World, where I was Vice President of Online Marketing and Sales, I learned a great deal about spas, healing, and travel as a transformative experience.

To continue my education in wellness, I became a certified Holistic Health Counselor. With an expertise in nutrition and holistic wellness, I built my prior business coaching private clients, in addition to offering a successful online Clean Eating program. During this time I became an affiliate coach for Tribeca Leadership Associates in NYC, a boutique Executive Coaching and Consulting firm, where I created and facilitated seminars and workshops on stress management for top investment banking and accounting clients. From 2014 -2015, I was a columnist for AOLjobs, where I covered topics including Work and Wellness and Leadership Development Skills.

How does it all come together?

I love connecting people with compelling content and dynamic experiences. My expertise is in wellness and luxury travel. My work focuses on:

  1. Content Development and Strategy. My company offers writing (newsletters, branded content, social media, etc.), editing, research, and business development services.
  2. Program Development. Are you providing the types of experiences today’s traveler is looking for? Wellness offerings that are results-driven. Custom cultural immersion opportunities (art, food, shopping, language education). Let me help you create dynamic experiences that truly engage and inspire customers.

Check out my blog: MindBody360!

I love to share what I think are the best retreats, hotels, wellness programs, among many other things that promote well-being.

Curious. Connector. These two words are key to how I approach my work. I love researching the things I’m passionate about whether it’s the meditation app with the best user-interface, a surf camp in a gorgeous setting, hotels that offer serious wellness options both big and small, or experiential travel opportunities that truly go beyond expectations. Then I love to share it with all the kindred souls out there. Discovery is often best when shared, no?

I hope you find something here that resonates with your own journey!

Education and other pursuits?

I have a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia. I received my nutrition counseling training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, and am a graduate of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program. I’m a speaker and event facilitator and am deeply committed to empowering women and girls to achieve their personal and professional potential.

Oh! I live in Paris, France.

My family relocated here in Spring 2016. The city is truly a jewel. I feel like we are now finally settled in and living our lives — not figuring out how to communicate with the plumber! (Big exhale.) I will be sharing more about life in Paris on my blog!

As Abraham Lincoln said: “It’s not the years in your life, but the life in your years.”
